What do I get for free?

The full converter is free to use — all 12 dithering methods, all manual controls, all presets to try. Free exports are watermarked and capped at 1× resolution. A paid plan removes the watermark and unlocks clean, full-resolution exports.

What is the difference between Starter and Pro?

Starter removes the watermark and lets you export clean PNG & BMP at up to 2× resolution with 50 MB cloud storage. Pro adds everything else: all 8 presets with export, Scanline & Glitch effects, SVG vector export, up to 8× resolution, the batch converter for processing many images at once, and 100 MB storage.

What are the presets and why are they Pro?

Presets are carefully tuned settings combinations: Mac Classic, Newsprint, High Contrast, Photo, Fine Pixels, Halftone Dots, CRT Scanline and Broken Signal. You can preview all of them for free, but exporting an image made with a preset requires Pro, because preset results are distinctly different from manual work and represent the core professional output of the tool.

What are Scanline and Glitch effects?

Scanlines add a CRT monitor stripe texture over the converted image. Glitch shifts rows of pixels horizontally for a broken-signal look. Both are adjustable with a slider and can be combined. They are Pro features because they significantly change the output character.

Why would I need SVG export?

SVG is a scalable vector format — your bitmap art stays crisp at any size. It is essential for print work, laser cutting, vinyl plotting, screen-printing and anywhere a pixel-perfect scalable file is required. PNG and BMP are raster and will pixelate when scaled up beyond their export size.

What is the batch converter?

Batch mode lets you drop in dozens of images, set a single style, and download every result at once as PNG or SVG. It is perfect for processing a folder of product photos, icons, or portraits with a consistent look. Batch is a Pro-only feature.

Can I upgrade later, and what happens to the money I already paid?

Yes. When you upgrade from Starter to Pro mid-cycle, we credit the unused portion of your current plan against the new price. You only pay the difference. For example, three days into a $4.99 month, most of that amount is credited toward Pro.

How does the yearly discount work?

Toggle to yearly billing to save 30%. You are charged once per year at the reduced rate instead of monthly. You can switch back to monthly at renewal.

What is cloud storage for?

After converting an image you can click Save to my storage to keep the result in your account — 50 MB on Starter, 100 MB on Pro. Access and download your saved files any time from the Account page without re-converting.

I already subscribe to your other tool — is this free?

Yes. Register with the same verified email address and an active subscription on our other tool unlocks tobitmap.com Pro automatically at no extra charge.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The converter runs entirely in your browser. Images are never uploaded to a server — all processing happens locally on your device. An account is only needed to export files and use cloud storage.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel whenever you like from the Account page and keep access until the current paid period ends. No questions asked.
